John R. Sutton, Jr. has been licensed to practice law since September 2000. John applies his knowledge in the specialized areas of criminal defense, construction litigation, personal injury, domestic litigation, and civil litigation.  John is licensed to practice law in the State of North Carolina, The Cherokee Supreme Court of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, United States Federal Court, Western District, 4^th Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.

John is a member of the American Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association and the Academy of Trial Lawyers. 

John graduated with Honors from St. Thomas School of Law in May 2000. John graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May of 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications. 

Born and raised in Candler, North Carolina, John attended Enka High School and graduated in May 1992.  John is the proud father of two daughters, Lilyan & Abigail.
